3 days tour t Ancient Olympia, Corinth /Mycenae /Epidaurus / Nafplion
Ancient Olympia private tour starts from Athens (or Katakolon). We drive westwards along the scenic coast of the Saronic Gulf until we reach the Corinth canal with its breathtaking views (short stop). Greece Taxi reach the Ancient town of Corinth (visit) where St. Paul lived and preached for two years . Back in ancient times Corinth was almost one of the richest cities and this is quite evident by its remains, including the huge Agora (market place) and Apollo's Temple(6th c. B.C.)
Olympia private tour drives on to Mycenae, the Homeric city of the Atreides, the city " rich in gold " of the ancient poets. Visit the Lions Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, the famous Royal Tombs of King Agamemnon . Greece taxi proceeds to Nafplia and then on to Epidavros to visit the Ancient theater (4th century B.C.) famous for its acoustics. Return to Nafplion (over night in a traditional hotel, located on the top of the old city just under the castle), the picturesque town nestling at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress.
2nd day:Visit and explore the castle of Palamid, Acronafplia castle and old town. Greecetaxi depart noon, through Central Peloponnese, the mount of Parnon and the cities of Tripoli, Megalopolis and Andritsaina arrive late in the evening in Olympia. Overnight in Olympia (Hotel with a swimming pool).
3rd day: After breakfast visit the museum of Olympia. The ruins of Olympia in the idyllic Alfios Valley testify to the grandeur of the ancient sanctuary which through the Olympic Games was a symbol of Greek unity - the cradle of the Olympic Games. Visit the Archaeological Site, the Sanctuary of the Olympian Zeus... Next take a scenic coastal road from Patra to Athens and return from a different way.
3 days tour to Canal, Corinth, Sparta, Mystras - Mount Tayegtos - Olympia
Ancient Olympia private tour leaves Athens (request another departure terminal) drives westwards along the scenic coast , through the ancient areas of Elefsis and Megara until we reach the Corinth canal with its breathtaking views (short stop / on the bridge, which is the highest point of the canal -80 meters high and 6 km long- which connects the Aegean Sea to the Ionian Sea (short stop). We continue for Sparta and the Byzantine town of Mystras.
Following the road from Sparta which passes through plane trees, cypresses, olive trees, mulberries and orange trees we reach Mystras. In the distance, mount Taygetos looms proudly. We scan its innumerable peaks, precipitous slopes and deep gorges until our gaze suddenly rests on a hill, detached from the mountain range. On the naturally defended hill of Myzithras in Lacedaimon, the ruler of the Frankish Principate of Achaia Guillaume de Villehardouin built in 1249 a strong medieval castle the "Oriokastro" which was to play an important role in the history of the last centuries of the Byzantine empire.
2nd day:Visit and explore the Ancient Spatya Acropolis and old town. We will visit The Olive oil Museum , where we can learn everything about our best products, Olives and Olive oil. Greecetaxi departs noon, through Central Peloponnese and the mount of Taygetos (The biggest and largest mountain in Peloponnese - a unique ride) and the city of Kalamata arrive late in the evening in Olympia.
